Originally from Burnsville, North Carolina, Kayla graduated from Mars Hill University with a degree in accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Residing on Beech Mountain, North Carolina, Kayla and Jeff are enthusiastic supporters of their community.

Outside her professional commitments, Kayla enjoys spending quality time with her three children, Macey, Abigail and Christian. Her hobbies include traveling, playing tennis, camping, and proudly wearing Carolina blue on game days.
